AI offers a powerful opportunity to optimize existing systems and address pressing challenges in low-resource settings.
Despite its promise, deploying AI in LMICs faces barriers like data gaps, regulatory uncertainty, and trust deficits among many others. PhixAi aims to tackle these challenges by fostering strategic partnerships across governments, academia, international organizations, innovators and communities. This document will outline actionable steps and best practices to navigate policy and regulatorybarriers by fostering alignment among all the stakeholders involved to catalyze scaling of AI inPublic Health.
Develop an adaptive framework that will enable systematic identification of key areas where AIcan address critical needs in public health, ensuring that resources are directed towards impactful solutions.
This platform will serve as a central repository for AI-Health solutions, providing a space for sharing knowledge, best practices, and resources to support the scalability and adoption of AIinnovations
Regular convenings will facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration among countries in the global south, leveraging shared experiences and expertise to drive AI innovations in health.
Assessing country level on-ground insights for operational validation to deploy key AIHealth solutions, their impact evaluation and support negotiating global regulatory frameworks as a part of GTM strategy.
These models will explore innovative funding mechanisms and revenue streams (for e.g., Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) Instrument as a part of ERDF) to ensure the longtermsustainability of AI solutions in public health, fostering their continued development and deployment.
Convene a collaborative of relevant stakeholders to generate and share evidence for validationof AI in health innovations and solutions to guide policy and practice globally.
